~Review: Misbehaving by Abbi Glines~

Misbehaving (Sea Breeze  #6)

Published December 17th 2013 by Simon Pulse

An unexpected affair leads to mind-blowing harmony in this Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Jason is sick of living in his rock star brother’s shadow. So when he ships off to Sea Breeze, Alabama, he’s looking for a much deserved escape and a chance to blow off some envious steam. Falling for the local bad girl was definitely not the plan. But as the new duo enjoys some naughty fun in the Alabama sun, Jason learns that even though Jax is the musician in the family, he’s not the only brother who can rock someone’s world.

Jess is the sweet, street-smart lovable bad girl.  She has a way with men and knows that guys are only after her for one reason.  She has had a hard life having to grow up as the daughter of a stripper with no father around.  She is loyal to her mom who does the best job that she knows how.  If Jess could just get her ex-boyfriend to leave her alone she would be much happier.

Jason is the wealthy, Harvard educated brother of Jax, the hottest rock star around.  He is tired of his mundane life and wants more.  Jason is not sure what that is until he meets Jess.  He is sweet and always a perfect gentlemen with Jess but she know that all he wants is a fling.  She does her best to guard her heart and not fall for this handsome playboy who is way out of her league.

I enjoyed reading this book as I do all of Abbi Glines books.  This was a different twist with the bad girl instead of the bad boy persona we are used to reading about.  Bad girls need love too!  The chemistry was smoking hot but rushed at the same time.  They did not know each other that well before diving into the relationship and that hurts them in the long run with all the jumping to the wrong conclusions and lies.  They both frustrated me at times with Jason sending out mixed signals and Jess not telling the truth about her situation.  Add that together with an unapproving family and you have the mixture for a perfect summer beach read.

I would defiantly recommend that you read this book.  I mean, come on, its Abbi Glines.  You know it is going to be good.  This book is part of the Sea Breeze series but it can be read as a stand alone.  I really hope to read more about this couple.  There are some unresolved issues in the story line and I would like and update on how things turn out.

Thank you to edelweiss for sending me a copy of this book for review.  This did not influence my review in any way.
